Experience and Qualifications:
Mr. Carney has served as Senior Electrical Engineer for M.V. Cummings Engineers, Inc. for over 15 years and has been directly involved in all facets of Electrical Design, from renovation to master planning for future requirements. His experience goes beyond theory and design, a Master Electricians License in Duval and St. Johns County, has given him the needed background to follow projects from the initial conception stages through final construction.

Mr. Carney worked for seven years at a Navy re-work facility which involved trouble shooting a variety of electrical systems. He has extensive experience in sub-stations, building power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, Emergency and Standby Generator Designs, Fire Alarm Systems.His experience in LAN, which includes; hard wired, fiber optics, and media retrieval systems, earns merit as a leader in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Mr. Carney also has extensive experience in Fire Alarm and Security systems. His knowledge of State Standards makes his role as Quality Control Engineer exceptional.

Jacksonville Electric Authority, Jacksonville FL
Mr. Carney served as Sr. Electrical Engineer for the Fire Alarm System Addition and Existing System Demolition to meet ADA requirements service on this 19 Story High Rise Office Building.

Fuller Warren Office Building, Jacksonville, FL
Design Life Safety modifications to Egress and Fire Alarm System replacement for a multi-story state office building.

CSX Transportation Building, Jacksonville, FL
Design of 24,000 SF new building (i.e. computer room operation, administrative offices, engineering offices, conference room, etc.) and renovation design of 20,000 SF of existing office space. Provided the required Electrical Engineering Services for this building structure; specifics included Telephone Distribution Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Distribution Wiring Systems, Electrical Power and Lighting. MVC prepared Lighting and Power plans of the existing 2-story building structure for demolition purposes.

Northeast Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, FL
Provided Electrical Design for room modification to a secure seclusion space. Work included Lighting, Receptacles and Power for HVAC and Exhaust Fan.

Fed'l Law Enforcement Training Center - Glynco, GA
Designed all electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm and classroom audio-visual systems. Classrooms were equipped with state of the art control systems including sound, TV/VCR and light dimming systems. All systems are remote controlled by hand held infrared devices.
